Kid Rapt Ltd was incorporated in 1992, to market our own patented product ‘Matchguard’, a child resistant matchbox container. At that time we established links within the field of Fire and Home safety and subsequently developed a strategy to provide a supply and consultancy service for local authority based equipment loan schemes. This has developed over the years, with us becoming preferred partners for the supply of equipment into many Sure Starts, Health Safety and Accident Prevention organisations, Grant funded special projects as well as Road safety practitioners, Community action groups and charities.

Our scope of supply has grown to include a range of equipment for both child and adult related home and road safety, and elderly care products, as well as educational toys and books. We work closely with our clients, targeting our scope of supply to suit both local and national accident reduction schemes and government initiatives.

We regularly participate in local initiative training schemes, workshops and presentations throughout the UK. We actively promote partnership working across the local authorities and with outside bodies including suppliers. We issue regular newsletters, executive summaries of conferences and feedback experiences gained from other organisations into our clients.

With our links throughout the Nursery and Safety industry, we are also ahead of the game on issues such as concerns about drawstrings and the likely effect of these on accident statistics. We campaign for more consistent testing regimes, especially for nursery furniture, and we actively pursue suppliers for appropriate EN compliance. We believe that all of this can help you to make a more informed decision on the products that you choose to supply.

We are corporate members of the Baby Products Association, RoSPA, British Standards Institute and The Institute of Road Safety Officers, as well as having individual membership of the Institute of Home Safety.
